1: Approval of Minutes from 4/27/21 meeting

2: Treasurer’s Report – Robin Graves presented
As of today, the balance in the Friends account is $15,088.51

3: Jeff Squire reports his purchases of watering materials are a personal donation. Much thanks Jeff.
4: Park Update:
~Ashley reported on park maintenance. Landscaping is being provided by Spring Lawn Care on a weekly basis at $65 per week. The Sanican is being cleaned 2x per week and is reportedly a huge hit. Trash pick-up has been changed to bimonthly pick up due to the smells caused by the heat and park use.
~Jeff updated on the hydroseeding. The grass is coming up well with the new watering system in place. It was discussed and approved that the fencing will remain up through the summer season to facilitate the grass having time to grow and get strong. We will continue to water through the fall as needed. Fertilizing will need to get done in the upcoming week.
-Robin, Ashley and Jen will work together to fertilize. Robin or Ashley will purchase dog safe natural fertilizer.
5: Leyla and Robin updated the group on the fundraising meeting and grand opening discussion that was held last week.
~Leyla reports that the cost of the shed will be approximately $3,000. This will be the fundraising focus at the grand opening.
~Robin asked for thoughts on asking Alex Morse to speak at the grand opening celebration. The was approved unanimously.
~The thoughts on having a food and beer truck for the opening were brought up. Both approved unanimously.
-Robin will reach out to Alex Morse.
-Robin and Jen will meet with Andy Rogers after our July fundraising/grand opening meeting to further update the town on plans.
6: The next fundraising/grand opening meeting will be held on July 13th 5pm.
7: Reminder that June 26th 10am – 5 pm, we will have our second fundraising table. Selling remaining masks, dog tags and having a general donation jar. Leyla will man the table from 10-12 and Robin from 12 to 5.
-Robin will post the event on Facebook
8: A discussion was held regarding advertising at the park. It was unanimously decided we will have sponsorships/donations rather than advertising at the park. Items that can be sponsored/donated would be waste bags, benches, sanican, trash, trees, picnic tables, etc.
-Jen and Leyla will meet to make a list of sponsorships, levels and financial commitments for each.
-Robin will provide Leyla a list of current sponsorships (ie: benches).
-Robin will follow up with all current people that have expressed interest in donating once the list is finalized.
9: A discussion was held around issues with all dog side of the park. It was decided a sign will be made for the all-dog side stating: Large Dogs have preference.
-Robin will purchase the sign
10: Leyla brought up running a quarterly newsletter with updates to be emailed to those interested, posted on our website, Facebook and at the park on the kiosk. This was approved unanimously.
-Leyla will run the newsletter.
-It will be responsibility of board members to begin collecting emails of park users.
-Ashley will make up a formal email sign-up sheet for board members to use when signing people up.
11: Odds and Ends…
-Robin brought up doing Dog of the Week on Facebook and on the kiosk to begin education around different dog breeds. This was approved unanimously.
-Discussion on the potential coordination with The Good Dog Spot. Robin will reach out to plan a meeting them.
12: Next Meeting: Monday June 28th at 5pm at the park (weather permitting)
